CHALET SPYCAT
Chalet Spycat is our privately owned and run luxury chalet in Essert Romand just outside Morzine, which is part of the huge Portes du Soleil ski circuit. It lies between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc and is just under 1.5 hours from Geneva airport. Morzine is a traditional charming alpine village and considered to be one of France's top resorts for the variety of skiing and for being a family friendly resort. WED to WED so LONG and SHORT WEEK END BREAKS AVAILABLE.
We are a family run company and we offer tailor made winter ski and summer alpine family holidays together with a high quality of personal service. We will ensure that you have a memorable alpine family holiday, whether you have exclusive use of the chalet or join other like-minded guests. The open plan dining room & sitting room have panoramic views of the Avoriaz side of the valley and open onto a large south-west facing wooden terrace. The centre piece of the lounge is a magnificent log burner to keep you toasty after a long day of skiing and if you still haven’t warmed up then relax in our sauna for a while. We have free broadband access for guests.
There are 5 en-suite bedrooms which are either doubles or twins with a pull out third full size bed for groups of singles or families, which gives a maximum occupancy of 12 people. (Travel cots and high chairs are available on request.) All the bedrooms have cotton bedlinen and towels and some having doors leading out onto their own south-west facing balcony overlooking the breathtaking mountain panorama. We also provide you with hairdryers and the services of our in house professionally qualified masseur to help you relax during your stay. There is access into the chalet via the garage and ski locker. Laundry services are also available on request. Ski tools and a small workshop area are available for the dedicated who want to maintain or adjust their own skis/snowboards. Ski guiding: A limited service may be available when Paul is in the chalet. This is offered as a courtesy but is not included in your holiday rights. Crèche facilities are not in house but there are good crèche facilities in Morzine.
CATERING
The chalet offers a fully catered service in the winter and any combination of full/half/self catered in the summer.
We will be catering for you and will only serve you with quality meals of generous proportions made from fresh local produce to a standard that we’re sure you will enjoy. (Limited children’s menu available on request. Baby food not provided although you are more than welcome to use the facilities.)
Winter menu includes, Breakfast of breads and pastries/cereal, continental buffet breakfast. Afternoon tea with fresh cake. Aperitif and canapes. Evening meal of four courses with starter, main, dessert and cheese board. Decent wine included with evening meal (because Paul wouldn’t serve cheap wine to anyone!!!)
On arrival there will be a complimentary fridge full of beer and soft drinks, which can be refilled at cost at your request.
Tea and Coffee making facilities will be available to all guests throughout the day.
TRANSPORT
Chalet Spycat will run a vehicle to transport guests to and from the slopes twice a day. The chalet sits between four separate ski areas and we will drop you off and collect at a local point of your choice. We will ensure you arrive at ski school on time and will take other guests to their chosen starting point. We will collect from Morzine town centre but if you inadvertently end up in the wrong valley after the lifts have closed then we will collect you, but for a charge!!
Airport transfers. We offer a limited airport transfer service to and from Geneva Airport and this will depend on who is arriving when and if you are all travelling in a single group. Priority of pick up time will be given to the first booking. We will always ensure that arrangements are made for you or put you in touch with a private transfer company.
