Chalet on the Piste
Maison Jaune is one the the few real ski-in/ski-out chalets in the Chamonix Valley. No need to fight for a space on the ski bus, or load your gear into the minibus for a transfer - you just put on your skis and ski directly from the heated ski room onto the piste. Easy peasy!! Beginners?? don't worry you will be driven to lessons, until you too can ski from the door!
Maison Jaune truly is an exceptional chalet, in what can only be described as a fabulous location. Situated above the pretty alpine village of Les Houches, at the entrance to the Chamonix Valley. The chalet, and the three mazots, occupy huge private grounds, with spectacular views in every direction.
The hot tub on a screened wooden deck gives views directly over the ski piste. There is also a BBQ kitchen, Boules pitch (in summer), sun terrace, flower gardens, and loads of parking.
At Maison Jaune we have tried to think of everything to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable, so all bedrooms have private facilities and french doors leading onto balconies offering fantastic views of the Mont Blanc range. Our lounge has an open log fire and fireside library, plenty of seating for 10 people. There are patio doors leading to the garden. There is an amazing 3 metre wide window that overlooks the Chamonix Valley. We also offer free internet access, WiFi too if you have a laptop. There is an open log fire and the whole chalet has underfloor heating.

Privately owned and run by Helen and Leighton Ellis (who together have almost 20 years experience in the Chamonix Valley), pride themselves on offering the very best service with attention to the small details - that turn a 'ski holiday' into an 'exceptional ski holiday'.
With complimentary airport transfers, in resort transport, ski orientation, fabulous food, the most comfortable beds! All the little extras arranged for you - this has to be the holiday of your choice.
If you need ski hire, lessons,guiding or lift passes, Mountain Bike Hire, Mountain Guides, we will arrange it for you. CHILDREN: We can recommend an ICS qualified and cleared child minder. MASSAGE: We have a fully qualified and fully insured Sports Therapist for massage, who will come to the chalet at your request. She is also qualified Dietrician and Nutritionalist (so bring your questions!) Payable locally.

The Chalet - Sleeping
Maison Jaune is a traditionally built, four storey mountain house with five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
All the bedrooms are of the same high standard (no dark basement rooms or limited-height attic rooms) All bedrooms have their own bathroom. All bedrooms overlook the ski piste and have fantastic views of the Mont Blanc range and the valley below from their own balconies.
The bedrooms are spacious and stylishly decorated. Traditional pine furniture adds to the charm of this mountain home. We don't mess around when it comes to bedtime comfort... so all our beds have sumptious 4-season feather and goosedown duvets, white cotton bed linen and lots of pillows.
Heated floors throughout, mean a late night trip to your bathroom won't necessitate thermal socks!! We supply bath and hand towels and hairdryers in your room for your convenience. We also provide bathrobes for the hot tub.
What will we eat?
Food plays a very important role at Maison Jaune so we don't employ staff, we prefer to take care of all the planning, preparations and cooking ourselves. This way we know we can guarantee the standard. We pride ourselves on turning our restaurant quality food that we know you will enjoy.
So start your day with a hearty Buffet Breakfast. After skiing, warm your cheeks by the roaring log fire with a cup of tea and a huge slice of home baked cake. A great time to relive the magic moments of your day!! ... just before you relax in the Hot Tub! Dinner is a delicious 4-course gourmet affair accompanied by a choice of carefully selected AC wines. Finish your day enjoying a coffee and liqueur by the log fire with your friends and family. Special dietary requirments are catered for.
Dinner and Jazz - Early evening, before dinner, relax in our lounge around the fire, and enjoy complimentary cocktails and canapes whilst being entertained by our resident classical and jazz pianist.
The little extras
Just to help make your stay even more special, we've added a few extras... Hot tub outside on a wooden deck. A 42" plasma TV system with UK Sky. Wii Fit and Multimedia system with over 300 movies and 7000 music trancks. Free internet access and WiFi. A heated ski room and mountain bike storage. Underfloor heating throughout the whole chalet. Heated towel rails in all bathrooms. Bathrobes for your personal use. Hair dryers in your bedroom for your convenience
Truth is, we like our home comforts, and think you will too!

Self Catered or B&B? In summer we are totally flexible to your needs, so whether you want a mid week break, a fortnight activity holiday with the family or just an overnight stay on your tour of the mountains we can accomodate you.
Self Catered which includes bedding, towels and all bills.
Bed and Breakfast - optional evening meal, perhaps a BBQ at sunset, then we will be happy to arrange that for you!
Activities: We work closely with some of the best guides in the valley and can offer experts to guide you whether you want to Climb Mont Blanc, walk the Tour du Mont Blanc, learn to Rock Climb or Paraglide, or to Mountain Bike or Hike the magnificent Mont Blanc Chaine.
We can also arrange Tandem Paragliding flights, Rafting, Golf, Tennis, Swimming........ the list is endless.
