La Rosiere Information & Webcams

Welcome to La Rosiere

At an altitude of 1850m, La Rosiere is one of the highest villages in the French Alps. It is the last village on the Petit St Bernard Pass before it crosses into Italy. The resort has expanded recently and there is an ongoing programme of lift replacement. Through all this the village has kept it’s local feel. The locals are very proud of their village and this shows throughout. A lot of the people who work in resort are local to the resort and they welcome you to their home with pride .
There has been a lot work done to improve La Rosiere. Last summer the commercial centre had a big refurbishment and it is now a striking pine and stone building, in keeping with traditional Savoyard style. There has been new building as well, but don't worry this has not spoilt the feel of the village. Great lengths have been taken to ensure that all new building is completed in a Savoyard style.

Eating Out

For our night off you can now choose from 13 restaurants. There is a wide range of food available. Savoyard specialities, cuisine from the Alsace, a restaurant specialising in cheese dishes, pizza and many more. The ambiance of all the restaurants is very different and if you are after a romantic meal for two or a family friendly restaurant you can find it all here.

Ski Spectacular

On a Monday evening there is the weekly "descent flambeaux". You can just watch or if you can ski a blue run you can join in. This is followed by the ski instructors doing a spectacular show of jumping and synchronised skiing. Finally you get to sample a glass of vin chaud, or hot chocolate for the younger crowd, all courtesy of the ESF.

Other Entertainment

While not boasting the wildest nightlife La Rosiere does have a variety of bars to cater for all tastes – from a quiet drink to dancing till 4am. The village also has a fitness centre with gym, sauna and solarium, a cinema, a nursery for the kids, trampolines and an airstrip where joy flights start from.
