Les Arcs Information & Webcams
Les Arcs offers skiers of all abilities tremendous choice, with over 200km of pistes, ranging from gentle tree-lined cruising to serious off-piste itineraries. At the heart of the skiing network is the Aguille Rouge (3226m), the starting point for much of the most challenging skiing, including the exhilarating 7km (2000m vertical) descent to the village of Le Pré. Less experienced skiers can find a variety of runs through the forest to Vallandry and Peisey.
The skiing area is built around three purpose-built centres (Arc 1600, Arc 1800 and Arc 2000) from which many of the lifts radiate. Many old villages and hamlets are accessible, with an excellent range of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
Les Arcs pioneered modern ski teaching in the 1960's, and has consequently excellent ski schools and facilites for learners. A 'family-friendly' resort with something for everyone, and everyone comes back for more!
The neighbouring ski area of La Plagne is linked to Les Arcs by the new Vanoise Express cable car, the largest in the world. In total the Paradiski domain now has 450km of pistes, 3 glaciers, and 145 lifts spanning 4 valleys.
