A view of Saulire

A view of Saulire

The view of the Saulire summit ... a superb 2,739m above sea level, and various pistes (Mauduit, Sanglier, Niverolle, and Grande Roisere variations) running down into Meribel. The high altitude of this camera means that it can become obstructed by snow and cloud some of the time. If this is the case then please do check back later, as the view is superb.

La Plan Moulin looking towards the Roc de Tougne

La Plan Moulin looking towards the Roc de Tougne

The view looking across Meribel towards the Roc de Tougne. The two pistes in view above the chalet roofs on the left are the Stade (part of the 1992 Ladies' Downhill Olympic piste) and the Gelinotte which snakes down on the right. We find this shot the most useful to see what the road conditions are like up in resort and if they are clear. We are pretty certain the road in the view is not heated!!

Meribel from the top of Tougnette

Meribel from the top of Tougnette

The view from the very top of Tougnete bubble lift looking down upon the whole of Meribel. The piste in the foreground is the Combe Tougnete and the building in the middle is the Arpasson restaurant. On the far side of the valley on the right you can make out the Doron piste which runs into La Chaudanne. The high altitude of this camera means that it can become obstructed by snow and cloud some of the time. If this is the case then please do check back later, as the view is superb.

Meribel Town Centre

Meribel Town Centre

A superb view from Hotel Le Doron overlooking the square in the very centre of Meribel. To the right hand side is the Tourist Office and the main Post Office. Often in the late afternoons live bands or street entertainers can be seen in the square in front.

The view at La Chaudanne; the central lift station

The view at La Chaudanne; the central lift station

This is the true hub of the pistes with Meribel just visible in the background. La Chaudanne provides access to all the major lifts, car parking, kindergarten, lift-pass offices and multiple ski school meeting points. The altitude is 1433m, just in case the snow looks a little thin at the end of the season - there is probably lots more snow higher up.
